Here’s what some of my clients have to say:
There was a time my grief and anger was so
consuming, I secretly wondered what I now admit was a terribly selfish question: Would it be better for me if my daughter had died so I wouldn’t have the agony of feeling discarded and abandoned? After many months of asking myself more reasonable questions, I have finally come to many life-changing realizations. I’m hoping this self-awareness will help me reconnect with those who have moved on from the Mom I was. If they will give me a chance, I want to see where the future might take us. Thank you, DeeDee.
Widow, Mother of two
The Smile Again program helped me find a new path towards self-assurance so I could let go of the doubt that held me back from believing in myself. I realize I allowed my family to define me. Now, I will choose my destiny. Thank you, Dr. Mann!
Twenty-year old college student
My main challenge was where to start. I had so many strong feelings about how I have been mistreated by my family. I confided to my siblings that our son moved out of state without telling us. Instead of being understanding and supportive, I was criticized and judged with harsh words. I felt betrayed and shocked by their disloyalty.
D. D.’s step-by-step approach, walked me through how I can come to terms with our differences. I can never accept how disrespectful everyone has been to me but I can move on from the anger and bitterness that are ruining my life. We used to be a very close family, so I have to learn to nurture new relationships and start again with people who won’t condemn me outright. I have finally discovered the power of self-respect.

Fifty-five year old retired school teacher
It was heart-breaking to watch our twenty-something grandson walk away from his family. I was caught in the middle. I probably had divided loyalties. I now see that I wasn’t neutral because I had always favored my precious grandkids. The Smile Again roadmap helped me recognize how not challenging my grandson was causing him to think I supported his choices to go ‘no contact’ with his parents. I now realize I was afraid I would lose him also; if I asked him questions that probably no one else could ask him. I feel ready to share what’s on my heart and mind. I learned a lot from Dr. Mann’s programs. I highly recommend her as a Coach and facilitator.
Eighty-six year-old Grandmother of eight, retired nurse
The interaction within group coaching helped me develop relationships with other people suffering through familial estrangement. I feel part of a community who will stay connected long after our group coaching has ended. Many thanks to D. D. for putting together such a great experience.
